Danish Gambling Authority Reports 17% Drop in Gross Gaming Revenue for June 2025; Online Casino Revenue Sees Growth
The Danish Gambling Authority, Spillemyndigheden, has released its June 2025 gambling sector statistics, revealing a 17% year-over-year decline in total gross gaming revenue (GGR) to DKK 585 million (~$91 million).

Betting Revenue: The biggest decline was seen in betting, which dropped 53.5% year-over-year to DKK 126 million (~$19.6 million). This sharp fall is largely attributed to the European Football Championship taking place in June 2024.

Gaming Machines & Land-Based Casinos: Gaming machines’ GGR fell 6.5% to DKK 92 million (
$14.3 million), while land-based casino revenue decreased slightly by 2.2% to DKK 32 million ($5 million). -
Land-Based Bingo: Reported revenue stood at DKK 2 million (~$311,100).

Online Casino Revenue: Contrasting the overall decline, online casino revenue increased by 10% year-over-year, reaching DKK 333 million (~$51.8 million), representing nearly half (49.92%) of the total GGR.
Self-Exclusion Register ROFUS:

Registrations with the national self-exclusion program, ROFUS, rose to 62,400 in June 2025, continuing a steady upward trend.
